Comments

SLM 1.0

Service Level Manager 1.0 is part of Service Management Solution 1.0

Problem Description

Service Level Manager (SLM) 1.0 contains an evaluation license that expires 90 days after installation.

Background

The First Commercial Shipment (FCS) version of SLM 1.0 was shipped with a 90-day evaluation license. This means that you can use the product for 90 days from the date of installation. After that, you are unable to use the graphical user interface (GUI); however, the backend will continue to collect data.

Problem Symptoms

Ninety days after installing SLM 1.0, an error appears stating that the SLM evaluation license has expired. This occurs on both the Windows NT and Solaris versions of SLM. While the license expiration does prevent you from accessing the SLM user interface, it does not impact the collection of Service Level Agreement (SLA) data.

Workaround/Solution

An updated version of the Service Management Solution (SMS 1.0.1) is available on Cisco Connection Online (CCO).
