Cisco has also integrated other defect solutions, which are listed in the DDTS section below.

Cisco created maintenance release of Cisco IOS Software 12.0(10)S1 to release the Cisco 7500 series VIP4.

Cisco IOS Software Release12.0(10)S1 is built from Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(10)S + VIP4 support + SW defects solutions integrated (listed in the DDTS section below).

Problem Symptoms

Cisco 7500 series new VIP4 required a release vehicle in the time frame that did not meet regular release schedules in Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0S. Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(10)S1 resolved this issue.

All Cisco 7200, 7500 and 1200 images are being released in Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(10)S1.

In order to use a Cisco 7500 series new VIP4 in the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0S release, you must use Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(10)S1 or later of the Cisco IOS Software 12.0S maintenance release.

Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(10)S1 is also recommended to obtain defect solutions that are listed below.
