Problem Description
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(1)E2 has been built to provide:

Cisco 7500 series images (rsp-*-mz)

Cisco has also integrated other defect solutions, which are listed in the DDTS section below.
Problem Symptoms

Cisco 7500 series images (rsp-*-mz) have not been released from Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1E. Cisco IOS Software Release12.1(1)E2 is the first 12.1E maintenance release to support Cisco 7500 series images.

Cisco 7500 series IOS crypto images are not being release from Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1E until further notice.
Background
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(1)E did not release Cisco 7500 Series images (rsp-*-mz). Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(1)E2 is the first 12.1E release that supports the Cisco 7500 series images.
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(1)E2 also has integrated other software repairs. Other defect repairs integrated into 12.1(1)E2 are listed in the DDTS section below.
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(1)E2 is built from 12.1(1)E + SW defects solutions integrated (listed in the DDTS section below).
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(1)E1 was not released.
Workaround/Solution
All Cisco 7100, 7200, 7500 and Catalyst 6000 images are being released in 12.1(1)E2. Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(1)E2 is recommended to obtain Cisco 7500 Series images and repairs that are listed below.

Cisco IOS Versions Affected
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(1)E will not be available through new orders from Cisco. The product numbers used to order 12.1(1)E images will be used to ship the new rebuild 12.1(1)E2.
CCO IOS planner will maintain 12.1(1)E and 12.1(1)E2.
