CTIOS Installation Error

Introduction

The Computer Telephony Integration Object Server (CTIOS) version 7.2 installation fails on Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows Vista, and this error message appears: JRE.EXE stoped working. This document discusses how to troubleshoot the issue.

Problem

The CTIOS 7.2 installation fails on Windows 7 or Windows Vista and this message appears:

jre.exe stoped working

Solution

The issue occurs because Windows 7 and Windows Vista are not supported with CTIOS version 7.2. Windows Vista support is only available in CTIOS version 7.5 and later. Windows 7 support is only available in CTIOS version 8.x and later.
