Q. How are TMS Users different from Active Directory Users?

A. Within TMS, each user has a profile or user account. This profile stores TMS-specific user information that is not stored within Active Directory. When a user logs into TMS for the first time using their Windows username and password, a new TMS user account is created for them and automatically linked to their Windows account. To log into TMS, a user must have a Windows username and password. Passwords are not stored in TMS and any changes to Windows passwords will automatically be reflected in TMS.
