Hardware Requirements

  • Up to 5 desktops with up to 5000 connections on Ultra 1 Model 170E or Sparc 20 Model 151s:

    • 24-bit graphics

    • 256M RAM

    • Two 2GB disks

    • CD-ROM drive

    • 1/4-inch QIC tape drive

    • Solaris 2.5.1

  • Up to 10 desktops with up to 25,000 connections on Ultra 2 Model 1300s:

    • Single 300-Mhz processor

    • 24-bit color graphics

    • 512M RAM

    • Two 4GB disks

    • CD-ROM drive

    • 1/4-inch QIC tape drive

    • Solaris 2.5.1

  • Up to 10 desktops with up to 50,000 connections on Ultra 2 Model 2300s:

    • Dual 300-Mhz processors

    • 24-bit color graphics

    • 512M RAM

    • Two 4GB disks

    • CD-ROM drive

    • 1/4-inch QIC tape drive

    • Solaris 2.5.1

  • Up to 10 desktops with up to 100,000 connections on Ultra 2 Model 2300s:

    • Dual 300-Mhz processors

    • 24-bit color graphics

    • 1GB RAM

    • Two 4GB disks

    • CD-ROM drive

    • 1/4-inch QIC tape drive

    • Solaris 2.5.1

  • Up to 40 desktops with up to 200,000 connections on Enterprise 4000s

    • At least four processors

    • 24-bit color graphics

    • 1GB RAM

    • Two 4GB disks and disk array

    • CD-ROM drive

    • 1/4-inch QIC tape drive

    • Solaris 2.5.1

Note: For every additional CWM desktop, 8Mbytes of RAM is required beyond the standard recommendation.
