Introduction

This document provides information on DistributedDirector Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

Q. Which version of Cisco IOS® is required for DistributedDirector?

A. 11.1.9IA or later, or 12.0.3T or later.

Q. What version of IOS do I need to run DRP server agent?

A. For DistributedDirector software prior to 11.1.18AI, run IOS versions 11.2.xF on the Director Response Protocol (DRP) server agents. For DistributedDirector 11.1.18AI or later, run 11.3.2T or later on the DRP server agents.

Q. Do I need to use DRP when configuring a DistributedDirector?

A. No, the random, admin, and portion metrics do not use DRP for server selection. Examples are shown below:

  • Equal load sharing using portion

Note: The sum of all portion values assigned to the servers must total 100 percent.
