Technical Marketing Engineer
Tony Anderson is a Technical Marketing Engineer with the Industry Solutions Engineering group at Cisco, focusing on healthcare. His 11 years at Cisco have included a support engineering position in the Vertical Channels group, where he supported major healthcare partners in integrating Cisco products into their solutions. In the Corporate Channels group managing the development of unified communications training, he worked with the channel programs, channel enablement, and go-to-market teams to define partner programs and develop training for those programs. Anderson started with Cisco as a channel systems engineer with the Global Channels group supporting General Electric and Hewlett-Packard. Before coming to Cisco, he was a systems engineer and channel engineer with 3Com, a systems engineer with Chipcom, and a field application engineer with Western Digital, where he also supported the reseller channel. Earlier in his career, Anderson worked as a technical instructor, tech support engineer, and field engineer for several companies including Novell and Lanier Business Products. With 38 years in the computer and data communications industries in a variety of sales, support, instructor, and management roles, Anderson has acquired a thorough understanding of technology and how to apply those technologies to solve business problems. He holds CCIE certifications in Routing and Switching and in WAN Switching (CCIE 4686).
