David Klem is a reference architect in NetApp's Infrastructure and Cloud Enablement team, focusing on developing best practices and solutions for cloud-based architectures. He also has spoken with many customers and at industry events on cloud computing and virtualization. Klem joined NetApp in 2005 as part of the original team that architected and built the NetApp Kilo Client, a large 1700-node internal cloud used to increase efficiency and hardware utilization throughout the engineering group. Prior to joining NetApp, Klem was an engineer at Cisco for 6 years, working with the Cisco Catalyst switch platform. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Miami with an audio engineering focus.
