Cisco NAC and Microsoft NAP Interoperability Architecture

Deploy Interoperable Solutions

Now your security infrastructure can take advantage of interoperability between the Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) and Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) solutions. The solution components include Cisco Secure Access Control System (ACS) version 4.2, Cisco 802.1X-capable Catalyst Switches, Microsoft Network Policy Server (NPS), and Microsoft NAP-enabled Vista operating system. The Cisco NAC Appliance does not support NAP at this time and is not part of the solution.

Gain a Flexible Security Infrastructure

Cisco NAC and Microsoft NAP interoperability gives you these benefits:

  • An architectural foundation for deploying both solutions either incrementally or concurrently
  • The flexibility to design and implement your security infrastructure in an efficient and effective way, with many deployment options
  • The ability to protect your investment by expanding your Cisco NAC and Microsoft NAP deployments
