The Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) helps Cisco partners differentiate themselves and add value in the collaboration market. Partners are encouraged to maintain their services on the most recent version of HCS to offer customers an optimized cloud collaboration experience with the latest applications and services.

Features and Capabilities

Applications

Unified Communications: HCS 9.1.1 supports the new features and capabilities in Unified Communications Manager 9.1, Unity Connection 9.1, Jabber 9.1, Emergency Responder 9.0, and Unified Enterprise Attendant Console 9.0.

Endpoints: New endpoints supported include the Cisco TelePresence TX9000, CUCI-IBM (Sametime and Notes), Cisco TelePresence 1310-65 and IP multimedia subsystem endpoints.

Mobility: Support for mid-call features has been added, using the native softkeys of IMS-integrated mobile endpoints. This includes ad-hoc multi-party conference, call transfer, music on hold, message waiting indicator, call waiting, call barring, and call forwarding.

Contact Center: The HCS 9.1.1 release supports outbound calling, outbound IVR, Precision Routing, and Cisco Finesse Desktop, in addition to further integration with the HCS management tools. Density of contact center applications has also been improved.

Cisco TelePresence: Integration with Cisco Telepresence Exchange (CTX) supports multipoint videoconferencing capabilities using shared bridging resources.

Management

Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager. Provisioning and management support of IMS endpoints and other new endpoints is included. New provisioning APIs have been added, and Active Directory integration has been improved.

Contact Center Domain Manager. The addition of Contact Center Domain Manager allows for provisioning of contact center applications and users.

Service Assurance. Improved fault correlation capabilities have been added with greater numbers of use cases for root-cause analysis and service-impact analysis.

License Management. A new license manager can facilitate sharing of HCS licenses between customers, which gives service providers a simpler way to manage user licensing across their customers.

Infrastructure Provisioning. A new Infrastructure Provisioning Agent partially automates the provisioning of the unified communications infrastructure.
