After a rigorous portfolio review cycle, Cisco is ending its Cisco Mail trial. Customer feedback indicates that email is a mature and commoditized communications tool for them, not a strategic collaboration investment area.

Cisco is still convinced that the Collaboration technology market is one of our greatest opportunities. It is a $38 billion market that we are well positioned to lead. However, our customers are telling us that video, social collaboration, and mobility will be more strategic in future than email. Cisco's strategy is to go to where markets are moving, not where they have been.

Cisco support of APIs provided by email systems helps integrate our collaborative offerings into a customer's existing or planned email solutions. Cisco TelePresence, WebEx Meeting Center, Quad, Unity Connection, and other collaboration offerings all are tightly integrated into email systems.

Thanks to partners who have participated in the Mail trial. Your participation has been highly valuable. If you have any questions, please contact the Cisco Mail Sales Group.
