Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® Aironet® 350 Series PCM and PCI client adapters. The last day to order the affected products is August 27, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until August 20, 2010. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected products. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco Aironet 802.11a/b/g wireless CardBus or PCI adapters, which are backward-compatible with the Cisco Aironet 350 Series 802.11b client adapters and also provide support for 802.11a and 802.11g applications. Whether configured to support single 802.11b coverage, single 802.11g coverage, single 802.11a coverage, dual-mode 802.11a/g coverage, or trimode 802.11a/b/g coverage, the Cisco Aironet 802.11a/b/g wireless adapters are Wi-Fi-compliant and combine the freedom of wireless connectivity with the performance, security, and manageability that businesses require (Table 3).
