Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco SOHO 90 Series Secure Broadband Routers. The last day to order the affected product is June 30, 2007. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until June 28, 2012. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco 850 Series Integrated Services Routers. The Cisco integrated services routers are engineered for secure, wire-speed delivery of concurrent data, voice, video, and wireless services. An integrated systems approach to embedded services speeds application deployment to help reduce operating costs and complexities. Cisco is the first in the industry to embed security and voice services into a single routing system for fast, scalable delivery of mission-critical business applications to organizations of all sizes. End of New Service Attachment Date

For equipment and software that is not covered by a service-and-support contract, this is the last date to order a new service-and-support contract or add the equipment and/or software to an existing service-and-support contract.

End of Service Contract Renewal Date

The last date to extend or renew a service contract for the product.

Last Date of Support

The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.

PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS

The recommended replacement for the Cisco SOHO 90 Series Secure Broadband Routers are the Cisco 850 Series Integrated Services Routers.
Customers who are using the Cisco SOHO 90 Series are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco 850 Series for secure data and wireless applications or to the Cisco 870 Series when advanced features such as advanced quality of service, network admission control and intrusion prevention system are required. The Cisco 870 Series also supports more VPN users and the Power over Ethernet option on the built-in 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch. Founded on 20 years of leadership and innovation, the Cisco 850 Series Integrated Services Routers intelligently embed data, security, and wireless technology into a single, resilient system for fast, secure delivery of mission-critical business applications to small and medium-sized businesses and small branch offices. The 850 Series is also used by service providers to offer business-class broadband and wireless LAN services. Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Plan (TMP) to trade in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. For more information about Cisco TMP, go to: http://www.cisco.com/go/tradein/ . The Cisco TMP application requires all users to have a Cisco.com user ID.
Customers may be able to continue to purchase the end-of-sale product through Cisco's Authorized Refurbished Equipment program. Refurbished units of the end-of-sale product are available in limited supply for sale in certain countries on a first-come, first-served basis.
