The Cisco ® Video Surveillance Services Platform with Fibre Channel Connections offers organizations an innovative choice for network digital video recording and playback in deployments that require storing storage of large amounts of video data. This device provides Fibre Channel connections to external storage arrays, allowing you to store a virtually unlimited amount of video data and to view recorded video streams any time, anywhere, from any device.
Fully integrated with Cisco Video Surveillance Stream Manager Software and providing high-quality MPEG-4 encoding, the Services Platform with Fibre Channel Connections offers a wide array of features in a single component that is easy to use and deploy. It provides a robust, scalable, and flexible way to replace traditional analog or digital video recorders in a variety of video surveillance deployments. Figure 1 shows the Cisco Video Surveillance Services Platform with Fibre Channel Connections.

Product Architecture
