Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco Media Convergence Server (MCS) and IPICS Appliance (with 7845-H1 server). The last day to order the Cisco Media Convergence Server (MCS) and IPICS Appliance (with 7845-H1 server) is March 12, 2007. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco Media Convergence Server (MCS) and IPICS Appliance (with 7845-H1 server). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the MCS-7845-H2-S31, which is a powerful and highly reliable high-level rack mounted server solution. Information about the replacement product can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6867/index.html.
