Product Overview

Cisco Systems^® announces changes in Product Identification Number for Cisco^® ONS 15454 (SONET/SDH) and Cisco ONS 15327, outlined in Table 1. The change in the product part identification for these products does not change the form, fit, or function of the product, nor does it change the availability of support for these products. The part number changes are to comply with internal Cisco naming conventions. New orders should use the updated part numbers outlined in Table 1. The last date to order the products with the old product ID is January 30, 2005 (Table 2).

Announcement date	The date the document that announces the change in product identification number is distributed to the general public.	October 30, 2004
End-of-Orderability date	The last date to order the product through Cisco point-of-sale mechanisms. The product is no longer for sale after this date.	January 30, 2005
Last shipment date	The last-possible ship date that can be requested of Cisco and/or its contract manufacturers. Actual ship date is dependent on lead time.	March 30, 2005
