Effective September 7, 2020, Cisco is offering a 5-year limited hardware warranty on Cisco® pluggable modules of SFPFE, SFPOCX, SFPGE, SFP10G, X2, SFP25G, QSFP40G, QSFP100, and QDD400G product families.

Q&A

Q.  What is changing?
A.  In response to market and customer requirements, Cisco is extending the warranty period for Cisco pluggable modules of SFPFE, SFPOCX, SFPGE, SFP10G, X2, SFP25G, QSFP40G, QSFP100, and QDD400G product families from the previously offered 1-year limited warranty or 90-day limited warranty to a 5-year limited warranty.
Q.  When are these changes effective?
A.  Changes are effective as of September 7, 2020.
Q.  Are the changes in warranty retroactive?
A.  The changes are not retroactive, and customers’ hardware will continue to stand under the terms of the warranty under which they shipped.
