Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® CNS Subscriber Edge Services Manager (SESM) 3.1.x. The last day to order the Cisco CNS SESM 3.1.x is November 1, 2000. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until November 1, 2003.

Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco CNS SESM 3.1.x. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to Cisco CNS SESM 3.2, which provides an open, Web-based architecture and support for standard protocols; reduces the capital expenditures (CapEx) and operating expenses (OpEx) associated with service delivery; and eases integration with subscriber management, billing, and security systems.

End of Software Maintenance Releases Date

The last date that Cisco Engineering may release any final software maintenance releases or bug fixes. After this date, Cisco Engineering will no longer develop, repair, maintain, or test the product software.
November 1, 2004

End of Service Contract Renewal Date

The last date to extend or renew a service contract for the product. The extension or  renewal period cannot extend beyond the last date of support.
August 1, 2006

Last Date of Support

The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.
November 1, 2006

The Cisco CNS SESM 3.2 provides complete control over the subscriber experience, supporting customization and personalization based on device, client, location, service, and other criteria to offer higher value to end users and maximize service and advertising revenue.
