Cisco Network Connectivity Center Routing Protocol Services Manager works with Cisco Network Connectivity Center Network Connectivity Monitor to isolate the root cause of routing events caused by misconfigurations, software problems, and connectivity issues. While some tools passively monitor routing protocols to construct end-to-end paths, Cisco Network Connectivity Center Routing Protocol Services Manager provides insight into routing process and adjacency failures, pinpointing root cause problems in routing protocol domains and correlating these events with problems in the underlying IP network.

Cisco Network Connectivity Center Routing Protocol Services Manager supports Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Protocol and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Important features include:

  • Discovery and modeling of the routing-protocol domain
  • Root-cause analysis of routing-protocol problems
  • Cross-domain correlation of routing-protocol domain events with problems in the underlying IP network
