The Cisco Access Router Manager (ARM) is a graphical user interface (GUI)-based, carrier-class Element Management System (EMS) for managing the Cisco 2600 Series, 3600 and 3700 Series Routers. Cisco Access Router Manager provides a range of GUI features designed to increase network operations productivity. With real-time inventory discovery capabilities, this EMS ensures quicker deployment of Cisco networking equipment, and provides comprehensive element service assurance to more quickly solve network problems.

Cisco Access Router Manager is a member of the Cisco Element Management System (EMS) product family to provide device specific fault, configuration, accounting, performance and security (FCAPS) capability. The Cisco Element Management System family comprises a range of element managers based on a highly scalable, tested, and field-validated common infrastructure, which is designed to support carrier-class element managers across Cisco Systems service-provider product lines. This flexible, modular model allows service providers to install the mix of element managers they need to support their dynamic businesses. It also enables cost-effective and rapid deployment of new element managers, permitting service providers to more rapidly introduce and manage new services. Cisco Element Management Systems provide common interfaces and element management services to applications in the network and service management levels, as well as existing service provider operations support system components.
