Thank you for your interest in the Cisco Returns Program. To determine your specific returns process, please identify the country where the equipment is located in the table below, and review the corresponding returns process instructions.

The equipment you will be returning will be shipped to Cisco's returns receiving or recycling center. Cisco will then determine its next best use at no expense to the customer or to the partner.

  1. Once the used Cisco devices are ready to be returned, the user will submit a return request on the Cisco Return Program (CRP) platform using the devices' product IDs (PID) or serial numbers, generating a return material authorization (RMA) number. If you are ready for these devices to be picked up, you can also submit a pickup request. An agent will reach out to confirm and schedule your pickup.
  2. Package the products according to our packaging guidelines, using any appropriately sized box(es). If your shipment contains more than four boxes, please shrink-wrap, or palletize it prior to pickup.
  3. If you have not submitted a pickup request, enter or search for your RMA in the platform to begin the pickup request. An agent will reach out to confirm and schedule your pickup.
  1. On the day of the pickup, ensure the shipment is available for pickup on the ground floor of the pickup location. A Cisco authorized carrier will collect the shipment and deliver it to a Cisco receiving center.
  2. Once the devices are received at our receiving center, you will see a receipt of all the returned PIDs and quantities associated with the RMA in the platform. You can find this by searching for your RMA in the "Shipping Reports" tab of the platform and clicking on the "Return Details" icon.
  3. The devices will then be responsibly dispositioned to their next best use.

Customer responsible for exporting return

The used Cisco equipment will be shipped to Cisco's returns receiving center where Cisco will determine its next best use at no expense to the customer or to the partner.

Your country regulations may restrict or require additional shipping and customs documentation to enable export of used equipment. Cisco does not control these rules and customers must be aware of any potential local requirements and possible work with local brokers for export. If documents are required, an agent will reach out to request the appropriate documents after the pickup request for the return is generated.

  1. Once the used Cisco devices are ready to be returned, the user will submit a return request on the Cisco Returns Program (CRP) platform using the devices' product IDs (PID) or serial numbers, generating a return material authorization (RMA) number. If you are ready for these devices to be picked up, you can also submit a pickup request. An agent will reach out to collect the required documentation if it is needed per the pickup country's regulations. Once the required documents are received and verified, a Cisco authorized carrier will contact you to confirm a pickup date and time.
  2. If you have not submitted a pickup request, enter or search for your RMA in the "Shipping Report" tab of the platform to begin the pickup request. An agent will reach out to collect the required documentation if it is needed per the pickup country's regulations. Once the required documents are received and verified, a Cisco authorized carrier will contact you to confirm a pickup date and time.
  3. If your pickup country requires additional documentation for the export of technology products, you can use the following tools to find the information you may need to complete the documents:
  • Enter the Product ID in the Cisco Public Export Product Database to find the export classification and export license requirement details for the product.
  • Enter the Product ID in the Cisco Trade Tool to find the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Number.
  • Enter the Serial Number in the Cisco Trade Tool to find the Country of Origin (COO).
  • For value, use the original price paid (purchase price).

If there are any issues regarding HTS, COO, or value, submit a case via Customer Service Hub by searching for "HTS Classification", "countryoforigin"(no spaces), or "Customs Valuation" respectively for support
