Q. Who can I contact if I have questions about the Global Scrap process?

Q. Who should be using the Global Scrap Program?

A. The Global Scrap program is designed for the removal of e-scrap materials from Cisco-contracted repair manufacturers, product distribution warehouses, and product demonstration depots only.

Q. Who should be submitting pick-up requests for this material?

A. Requests should be submitted by the contracted repair partner, the distribution warehouse, or the demonstration depot.

Q. Do I need to put the material on pallets and get it ready for pick-up before submitting the pick-up request?

A. Yes. All items should be packaged and placed securely on pallets before you submit your pick-up request.

Q. What other steps must are required prior to submitting a pick-up request for recycling?

A. First, there is an upfront process where employees of a contracted repair manufacturer, warehouse, or depot and their Cisco vendor managers suggest and approve material to be discarded. A list of proposed e-scrap materials is shared with the Cisco Value Recovery Team to see if the team wants any of the items. The items that are not taken by the team are submitted for e-scrap.

Q. How is the pick-up request submitted?

A. The request can be submitted using the Global Scrap Pick-Up Request form. Just complete the form and click Submit at the bottom. All required fields are marked with an asterisk.

Q. How long should it take for the recycler to contact me to arrange the pick-up?

A. It usually takes between 24 and 48 hours.

Q. How long will it take the trucks to get here to pick up my load?

A. When the recycler contacts you, you can arrange a date and time for the pick-up.
