Cisco’s commitments to the Academies include:

  • Operating the Academy program on a non-profit basis
  • Offering the Academy program globally to non-profit/public education institutions which meet program requirements
  • Continually reviewing and improving the Academy program to ensure its position as the leader in global e-learning

Each Academy's commitments to the Cisco Networking Academy program include:

  • Operating the Academy program on a non-profit/cost recovery basis
  • Operating the Academy program as a long term project
  • Delivering a high quality of instruction by committing:
    1. Resources for at least one teacher to be fully trained and certified in networking curriculum
    2. A trained teacher to teach the full curriculum
  • Providing appropriate classroom and lab facilities that:
    1. Include at least 85 m²/900 ft² of classroom and network lab space
    2. Ensure a student to PC ratio of 3:1 or lower
  • Providing or acquiring adequate Internet and networking facilities:
    1. With a minimum of 64Kbps dedicated Internet connection for students' use
    2. Which include network hubs, network management software, cable testers, crimping tools, Cisco routers/switches and a rack to house the equipment
