1. Login Problems

1.1 I've forgotten my password, how can I retrieve it?
The password was set by your instructor. Please ask him/her to reset a new one for you if necessary.
1.2 1.2 Will my Academy account be automatically deleted after I have graduated?
Student accounts don't get deleted from the system....but an Academy can "deactivate" them for access purposes to the servers. But the info remains in the servers.
However....in the new Academy Connection world, inactive students will lose their access after 6 months automatically to certain portions of the site, especially curriculum access which is why we have that as a central feature on the new Alumni Connection Web site.
So if the student has registered as an alumni and joined the alumni site, they can have access to curriculum they have already taken.
1.3 If my account has been deactivated by my instructor, do I need to reactivate my account before I register on the Alumni site?
No. As long as the student remembers the user name/password from their Academy experience, they will be authenticated and allowed to register.
We're working on a workaround if the student doesn't remember that info (eg. been out of the program for 3 years, etc.)
This will not "reactivate" the student within the other areas of CNAMS/Academy Connection, it only gives access to Alumni Home Page.

2.1 Can I get a certification after finish each semester?
You can ask your instructor to give you a Cisco Certificate for successful completion of Semester 1 and 2. You get a final Certificate on completion of all semesters. You can also get a letter of completion for semester 1 and 3 if you need it.
2.2 Where can I find information about networking academy scholarships?

2.3 Can I download eSIM and use it at home?
You can request your instructor to download the software for you. Students cannot download the software directly.
2.4 Can I request a CD-ROM copy of curriculum from my Instructor?
NO, the copy of curriculum can only be stored in Academy local web server with password protected. An Instructor cannot make a copy for the student and take it home.
2.5 Can I be transferred from my current Local Academy to another Local Academy?
Yes, you can transfer from one Local Academy to another provided that both Academies involved are aware of this transfer.
You need to look at the academy locator on http://cisco.netacad.net then contact your chosen academy
Also, you have to be cleared by your current Academy (say, Academy A). Academy B Main Contact (the Academy you wish to transfer to) has to send an email to the webmaster, copy-furnishing Academy A Main Contact and the Area Academy Manager requesting your transfer.

4.1 I am a graduate, can I get any accreditation or exemptions if I will take degree course?
Regarding to accreditation and exemptions, it is up to each and every academy, and typically these education institutions also consider each student on a case by case basis. Therefore, it is advised to contact the institution directly and seek clarification.
